Robustness-Based Transmission Strategy for Wireless-Powered Communication Networks

چکیده
In the wireless powered communication network (WPCN), deployed nodes that harvest energy from power station (PS) and then transmit data to access point (AP) may waste information transmission (WIT) opportunities due suffered faults. Confronting this dilemma, we propose a novel metric robustness, defined as number of available for WIT, evaluate its impact on throughput. To optimize tradeoff between throughput design an threshold approach, where robustness decreases with first increases it WIT rate opportunities. designed formulate different states Markov chain processes prove existence steady-state probability distribution. Quasi Random Deployment Strategy for Reliable Communication Backbones in Wireless Sensor Networks
Topology construction and topology maintenance are significant sub-problems of topology control. Spanning tree based algorithms for topology control are basically transmission range based type construction algorithms. The construction of an effective backbone, however, is indirectly related to the placement of nodes. Also, the dependence of network reliability on the communication path undertak...
متن کاملOptimal Time Scheduling for Wireless-Powered Backscatter Communication Networks
This letter introduces a novel wireless-powered backscatter communication system which allows sensors to utilize RF signals transmitted from a dedicated RF energy source to transmit data. In the proposed system, when the RF energy source transmits RF signals, the sensors are able to backscatter the RF signals to transmit date to the gateway and/or harvest energy from the RF signals for their op...
متن کاملA Generalized Optimization Framework for Wireless Powered Communication Networks
In this paper, we generalize conventional time division multiple access (TDMA) wireless networks to a new type of wireless networks coined generalized wireless powered communication networks (gWPCNs). Our prime objective is to optimize the design of g-WPCNs where nodes are equipped with radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting circuitries along with constant energy supplies. This constitutes an i...
متن کاملThroughput Maximization for UAV-Enabled Wireless Powered Communication Networks
This paper studies an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled wireless powered communication network (WPCN), in which a UAV is dispatched as a mobile access point (AP) to serve a set of ground users periodically. The UAV employs the radio frequency (RF) wireless power transfer (WPT) to charge the users in the downlink, and the users use the harvested RF energy to send independent information to t...
متن کاملOptimal Time Allocation in Backscatter Assisted Wireless Powered Communication Networks
This paper proposes a wireless powered communication network (WPCN) assisted by backscatter communication (BackCom). This model consists of a power station, an information receiver and multiple users that can work in either BackCom mode or harvest-then-transmit (HTT) mode. The time block is mainly divided into two parts corresponding to the data backscattering and transmission periods, respecti...
